Avalon Waterways Throws Bone to Singles
Avalon Waterways Waives Single Supplement Fee
Here’s the good news. For a limited time Avalon Waterways is waiving its single supplement fee on all 2016 sailings.
The bad news? It’s Category E & D only.
Category A, B and C look like this.
Category E & D look like this.
The Single Life
Single supplement fees are a single traveler’s bane of existence. “He travels fastest who travels alone.” You’re just going to have to pay for it. So the fact that Avalon Waterways is waiving the fee is not the worst thing to happen to a single traveler. But if you’re looking to have a river cruise experience remotely like the models who are paid to look like they’re having the perfect cruise, you’re still going to have to pony up the money for the better looking cabin.
But if you’re just looking to get on a river cruise and don’t care about the accommodations, then this is a fantastic deal. How much time are you really going to spend in your cabin? You can be out on the deck.
Or sitting in the lounge.
Or knocking back a few gin and tonics because this cruise was suppose to be a romantic vacation with your wife but you caught her in bed with the university coxswain and there was no way you were going to give up this trip so now you’re a single traveler and you hate her and you hate life and you really hate the single supplement fee because it feels like jumping into a pile of salt after giving yourself a thousand cuts from an old rusty razor blade you found in a gutter after you spent the night in said gutter because you went to the local bar and kicked back far too many gin and tonics.
So if you don’t mind a cabin that doesn’t have any the best view and you just want to spend time on a river and exploring cities, then jump on this deal.
The Nitty and the Gritty
Only ten promotional staterooms are available for each departure. Booking must be made by September 15, 2015 for travel in 2016.
Happy solo cruising.
