American Cruise Lines Announces Independence Day Celebrations
This 4th of July, American Cruise Lines will offer festive activities for travelers that highlight the beautiful U.S. destinations visited during their cruise.
Here are the five cruises.
Heartland Celebration Cruise
Guests on the 15-day Heartland Celebration Cruise get a free night on the 4th of July. From the comfort of the Queen of the Mississippi, enjoy the Dueling Barges Firework Display that lights up the New Orleans skyline. The cruise offers shore excursions to Elvis Presley’s home in Graceland and the Frogmore Plantation in Natchez. Thank you, thank you very much.
Lower Mississippi
A complimentary pre-night hotel stay begins this July 4th Memphis to New Orleans cruise. Celebrate the 4th of July by touring New Orleans. Stroll Beal Street to enjoy any number of jazz performances and chow on the city’s world-famous barbeque. Highlights of the cruise include live music and exciting shore excursions to Oak Alley Plantation and the Civil War battlefields in Vicksburg.

Columbia and Snake Rivers
This Independence Day celebration on the Columbia River begins with a lunch picnic at Fort Vancouver, followed by the largest firework displays in the region. Guests can enjoy the fireworks from the decks of the Queen of the West. The cruise includes a complimentary pre-night stay that allows guests to take in the sights of beautiful Portland, OR. The cruise also includes guided shore excursions to Mount St. Helens, the Columbia River Gorge and the 620-foot waterfall at Multnomah Falls.
New England Islands
The 4th of July celebration begins with a complimentary pre-cruise night in scenic Providence, RI to maximize time at the Independence Day folk festival, a festival that includes more than 150 musicians and artists in a spectacular show in the heart of the town’s historic district. Sites on the cruise include historic Nantucket Island and the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol.
