Emerald Waterways Builds Fifth Star Ship
Emerald Waterways Will Add a Fifth Star Ship for 2016
Wow, Emerald Waterways is growing at a fast rate. The company was only launched in 2014 and already it has announced it will build a fifth Star Ship, the Emerald Belle. This on the heels of the 2015 launch of their Star Ships the Emerald Dawn and the Emerald Sun.
The 182-passenger Emerald Belle will be built in the Netherlands and will launch in 2016.
The Emerald Belle will have the same configuration of her sister ships. But Emerald Waterways has left the door open for new enhancements. All of the Star Ships have 72 suites and 20 staterooms, including two built for solo occupancy.
The ships cabins come with an innovative indoor balcony with a decked area and an open-air system. At the push of a button, the upper half of the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window drops down for open-air views. Cool. Top suites separate the balcony from the cabin with sliding doors.
The ships have an onboard heated swimming pool with a retractable glass roof. At night the pool area transforms into a movie theater. And the ships have two restaurants, Reflections is the main dining room, and The Terrace serves breakfast and lunch. There’s also a hair dresser, massage therapy room and fitness area.
Cruise fares include all transfers to and from the ships. All onboard meals and some on-shore meals. You get unlimited tea and coffee. Wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner. Bottled water in cabins. Continental breakfast, pre-dinner canapés and after-dinner sweets served in top suites. Wi-Fi onboard the ship. Most shore excursions. Bicycles to use for those wanting to cruise around town. And all gratuities.
Emerald Waterways will offer nine itineraries in 2015. Here are some of the said nine itineraries The eight-day, Nuremberg-to-Budapest “Danube Delights.” The 15-day “Splendours of Europe,” which travels the Rhine and the Danube from Amsterdam to Budapest. The 10-day “Enchantment of Eastern Europe,” which travels Eastern Europe via the Danube River through Serbia,Bulgaria and Romania. The eight-day “Highlights of the Netherlands and Beauty of Belgium,” which begins and ends in Amsterdam when the tulips are in bloom. And “Delights of France,” an 11-day sailing from Lyon to Arles.
