Seine River Cruise on Viking Longship
Seine River Cruise on Viking Longship
Viking River Cruises is bringing its new longship to France for a Seine River cruise. Starting March 23, 2015, the Viking Rinda will sail the eight-day “Paris and the Heart of Normandy” itinerary, a round-trip cruise between Paris and Rouen.
Itinerary
Stops include Normandy, the site of the famed Allied D-Day invasion in World War II. Giverny, where Claude Monet lived and painted. Rouen, where Joan of Arc was tried and humanely burned at the stake. And of course Paris, the City of Light and probably the most romantic city in the world. Aside from Hoboken, NJ.
Viking Longships
The longships are the latest and greatest ships from Viking. The longships have an indoor/outdoor terrace for al fresco meals, two-room suites with a veranda and a French balcony, and eco-friendly hybrid engines for a smoother ride.
The longships are glorious. Get a load of these pictures.
The guy who can’t figure out how to use his camera does not come with stateroom.
On the Aquavit Terrace, make sure you beat that woman to the food. She eats everything.
The Atrium Lobby, where the two tramps on the left try to hook up with the guy on the steps.
Al fresco dining, where three people contemplate how drunk the their dining companion is.
Explorer Suite, where you can discuss your divorce over a plate of apples.
The Viking Experience
This is truly a fantastic cruise on a luxurious ship down a breathtaking river. It has something for everyone. A romantic city. A famous World War II location. And the place where where a heroine of France was burnt to a crisp. Romance, war and horror. Really, what’s not to love?
And remember, the Viking experience is award-winning.
